A lot of people see design as just ideation or creativity but design is really about execution and not having compromises. Design is about constantly getting the best of different constraints and working through those constraints into both a beautiful product and a beautiful business model where all the elements of a business revolve around a common set of challenges
The questions I often ask are:
Who is your customer?
What do you do on a daily basis?
What could you get rid of?

DESIGNING FOR THE COMMON GOOD

When we work with our partners the starting point is usually that they have been trying to solve a problem for a long time and for some reason the problem is ‘stuck’, so the last thing we want to do is try and solve that problem as it’s presented. So what we want to do is take a really long look at the problem and a walk around the problem to come up with a new ‘frame’ or a new way of looking at the problem.
